Environmental factor such as temperature and moisture can greatly affect the paper’s state. The paper’s moisture content changes with temperature, which then causes the sheet to make a curl. Changes in temperature conditions can also cause paper jams and wrinkles during printing.
Together with our Quality Department, we have developed some recommendations to be considered to keep our paper in excellent conditions and to obtain optimum results in their end use:
The storage area temperature should be between 20 and 25 ° C (68 and 77 degrees F) and the relative humidity should be between 30 and 65%.
When there is a large temperature difference between the storage area and the area near the machine, leave some paper near the machine a few days before using, so you can adjust to the ambient temperature of the machine.
If the paper roll is opened and not used, close the roll or in case of a pallet with sheets, wrap it to prevent absorbing moisture from the air.
Never leave paper roll on ground for long periods, leave it upright on a flat surface in a room with controlled temperature and humidity.
Leave the paper pallets with the plastic wrap until it is ready to be used; this to prevent the paper fibers absorb excess moisture.
The role must have a minimum rest time of 7 days between paper production and printing.
